The training consists of 402 lecture hours and 792 laboratory hours. Areas of study include engine repair and basic electrical, brakes, suspension and steering, heating, AC and related electrical systems, manual and automatic transmissions, and engine performance. Graduates will be prepared to apply for the EPA 609 A/C Technician certification recognized by Automotive Service Excellence. They may be eligible for entry-level employment in specialized or general automotive service positions. Morning sessions run Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Afternoon sessions are held Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
